Professor Saxton-Fox is an Assistant Professor of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She received her Bachelors from MIT, her Masters and PhD from Caltech, and did her Post-Doc at Princeton University.

Elizabeth is studying the nonlinear interaction of large and small scales in a turbulent boundary layer. She designed and executed an experiment to introduce new small-scale vortices into a fully-developed turbulent flow and will analyze the effect of the large-scale turbulent structures on the introduced small-scales.
Aman is studying turbulent boundary layers in pressure gradients. He is studying the affect of flow acceleration and deceleration on the structure of the boundary layer and its shear stresses.
Nissrine is studying fluid-metamaterial interactions. She is working with experiments to study these interactions under unsteady pressure gradients for separation control.
Marco is studying the wall shear stress in turbulent boundary layers experiencing pressure gradients. He is studying the impact of sequences of pressure gradients and ``history effects'' on mean and fluctuating statistics of wall shear stress.
Hamza is studying the behavior of turbulent boundary layers in unsteady conditions.
Rashika is studying fluid-metamaterial interaction, turbulent boundary layer control, and temperature sensitive paint.
Mac studied the effects and applications of suction on the separation point of adverse pressure gradients. They also designed and built a new wind tunnel test section for the wind tunnel that is in use by the turbulence dynamics research group. Mac earned their Masters degree from UIUC.
Akhil studied the effects of pressure gradient history on the structure of turbulent boundary layers focusing on fully separated flows. He also worked on extending classical POD to uncover the evolution of small-scale structures correlated with the phase of large-scale behavior in high dimensional quasi-periodic flows. Akhil then went to a postdoctoral position in Germany.Â

Krith studied the implications of data skewness on the use of Fourier analyses and proper orthogonal decomposition on fluid dynamics data. He earned his Master's degree from UIUC.
Aadhy studied the effect of unsteady pressure gradients on the organization and dynamics of coherent structures in a turbulent boundary layer. She also worked on a novel extension to an existing reduced-order modelling technique to make it more suitable for complex geometries. Aadhy went to work as an Aerodynamicist at Tesla, where she conducts experiments and numerical simulations to improve fluid/aero dynamic performance of Tesla vehicles' interiors.
PhD Thesis: Turbulent Boundary Layers Under Complex Spatial and Temporal Pressure Gradient Histories (2023)
Kuldeep developed an experimental framework for actuating morphing wings and surfaces in the wind tunnel. He also developed experimental capability for measuring forces on deforming bodies and measuring the nearby fluid velocity field. He earned his Master's degree from UIUC.Â
Palash studied the organization of coherent structures for wall-bounded turbulent boundary layers using vortex tracking and other data analysis methods. He earned his Master's degree from UIUC.
Mateo characterized the acoustic signature of a novel rotorcraft blade design that minimized the strength of tip vortices. He earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from UIUC.
Jose led the development of the new boundary layer facilities. He earned his Bachelor's from UT Austin and his Master's degree from UIUC. After graduating with his Master's, he went to work at Lockheed Martin Missiles Fire and Control.Â
