In November 2022, Sawyer's school participated in Genius Hour, also known as 20% time as part of their ILT (Integrated Learning Time) class. All students had to chose a project or activity they have wanted to do for a long time but never had the time to do, and Sawyer always wanted to make his own podcast so he decided this would be a great opportunity to start. To start, he began planning episodes and eventually came up with the name, "Sawyer's Podcast On Society." And after learning about Spotify's free podcasting platform, Anchor, he than started recording his episodes and that's where it all began.
