High-power Prone Match

This new Club's Highpower Prone-Only program is designed to provide civilian, military, and police shooters with an opportunity to shoot prone only at 100 yd on reduced targets of those used at NRA Mid-Range Prone competition along-side of the shooters shooting our official across the course high-power monthly match but using semi-automatic rifles built on an “AR-Platform” or bolt rifles. Shooting can be done prone with a bipod and a rear bag or wearing a sling and shooting coat like in mid-range NRA style of shooting.
Allowed rifles are of the “AR-Platform” variety, semi-automatic, chambered in two classes, (1) those in caliber from 223/5.56mm and (2) those chambered larger than .223/5.56mm up to and including .308 cal./7.62mm or single load or magazine load bolt action rifles. The courses of fire, depending on the match program posted in the Club's Match Calendar Link, will be as follows:
AR-TAC 500-point Match
Stage 1: Two (2) sighters and 10 shots for record in a block time of 15 minutes.
Stage 2: Two (2) sighters and 10 shots for record in a block time of 15 minutes.
Stage 3: Two (2) sighters and 10 shots for record in a block time of 15 minutes.
Stage 4: Two (2) sighters and 20 shots for record in a block time of 25 minutes.
AR-TAC 600-point Match
Stage 1: Two (2) sighters and 20 shots for record in a block time of 25 minutes.
Stage 2: Two (2) sighters and 10 shots for record in a block time of 15 minutes.
Stage 3: Two (2) sighters and 10 shots for record in a block time of 15 minutes.
Stage 4: Two (2) sighters and 20 shots for record in a block time of 25 minutes.
