According to a report of The economic Times on 8/02/2022, India has a power requirement of 1650.59 Billion units and the peak power demand is estimated to touch 2,38,899MW by 2025 

India is the third largest consumer of electricity in the world and despite that, nearly 50 million rural homes are without power.
