Nami (One Piece Live Action)

Trigger warnings:  it won't be tagged, but everything that went down with Arlong is obviously abuse, and I headcanon some shady situations for her when she was robbing other pirates as a teenage girl.

Canon divergences / my portrayal

She is 80% based on OPLA Nami, so some manga gags won't be here unless we use manga icons, but I will incorporate headcanons and manga details, and the transition between grumpy and closed-off Nami to more playful manga-Nami, as well as her love for money, friendly extortion, flirting, talking like the crew is 'a bunch of idiots' (lovingly, in her head) and more childish fighting with Luffy than in the live action. I will focus a lot on her relationships with the crew and how it's changing her after a life of slavery to Arlong. Instead of 18, if the other rper agrees I'll write her at least in her early twenties, since she's played by a 30yo woman. I'd like to have as a secondary verse or a potential default future the 'Nami loses an arm and has to replace it with machine parts' idea that comes from her original concept art.

On the other hand, I have memory problems (I also struggle with names way too much) so most of my threads will be happening in between arcs. 

I want to explore the consequences of what Arlong put her through, and how as a teenage girl she was using her sex-appeal and cleverness to gather together a million berry without being killed: her horror story took ALL of her teen years and she never had a 'healing time' with a newfound family before joining the crew, and that MATTERS. But also I want us to develop our own personal Nami&YourCharacter dynamic. I follow the show's version of NO ONE knowing she was helping Coco Village because it's more Dramatic that way.

-Now to be clear, I am VERY OKAY writing her as a platonic friend to Sanji, I'm not going to forceship! I adore exploring this level of family-found bonds! But yes, I am a Sanji/Nami shipper first and foremost, so she'll always be falling for a generic NPC Sanji in threads unless you write a Sanji (because I don't want to forceship).
If you headcanon your muse is dating Sanji I'll respect that! I'm fine with Nami not having romantic love as a primary goal.
