Wanted interactions: people from p&p, bridgerton and similar shows/books for now. Keeping in mind that she's at least 21 because it's either the end of her third season or the beginning of her fourth. There is a small bio for people who don't know Pride and Prejudice. Can be open to other character/verses that are more fantasy-like, as long as she can keep her backstory and values, or there wouldn't be anything to write about since she has no special powers.
Open to ship with: I think only men but I'm not sure until I get to write her. While very ship-oriented, keep in mind that she'll present herself as someone who is not looking for a husband anymore.

Trigger warnings: by today's standards Wickham is a predator who took advantage of her at age 15 after knowing her basically all her life, and it's my belief that it went past simply 'talking her' into marriage. She is carrying that burden, as well as more misadventures due to her enormous dowry, which attracts people with bad intentions.

She is the sister of Fitzwilliam Darcy, who is ten years her senior; the daughter of the late Mr. Darcy and Lady Anne; the niece of Lady Catherine de Bourgh and an earl; and the cousin of Anne de Bourgh and Colonel Fitzwilliam, among others. At the end of the novel, she becomes the sister-in-law of Elizabeth Bennet.
Her parents died when Georgiana was still young so her care and guardianship passed to her elder brother and her cousin, Colonel Fitzwilliam. Darcy is a father figure more than a brother. She has a big dowry and lives in Pemberly, one of the finest estates in Derbyshire. This made her a prime target for fortune hunters like George Wickham, an old friend of the family, who has known her ever since she was little.
When Georgiana was only fifteen, Mr. Wickham tried to convince her of his love in order to get her dowry. Young, innocent, and attached to him, she believed him. They planned to run away to Gretna Green in Scotland in order to elope, but she confesses the truth to her brother, who chased him off. Later, Wickham takes away one of Elizabeth Bennet's sisters, Lydia, who is also fifteen, merely to use her for fun, and because of Darcy's help he's forced to marry her instead of leaving her - and her family by extention - completely ruined.
Georgiana is shy to the point that she may appear cold at first, when Elizabeth meets her one year later, though described as affectionate and eager to please. She's shaken by the events of the summer before, but trying to put up a brave face. She's portrayed (and described by others) as sweet and lovely. Given what her brother expects from ladies, "A thorough knowledge of music, singing, drawing, dancing, and the modern languages (...) and to all this she must yet add something more substantial, in the improvement of her mind by extensive reading." we can assume Georgiana has these qualities, and we know for a fact she's amazing at the pianoforte, that she enjoys dancing and singing, and her 'flaws' are more about her socialization.

-as always with the limitations of: I'm not English, I can't write serious regency dialogue, it will always be way too modern and not enough flowery.
-like I wrote in the trigger warnings, I believe Wickham took 'liberties' with Georgiana (why wouldn't he, given that he goes after 15yo Lydia for sex?), though Georgiana didn't report that to her brother.
-when her brother finds love, and with a woman who makes fun of him, Georgiana is overjoyed and grows immediately attached to her.
-in the small window between age 16 and 18, Elizabeth's influence and the love between her and Darcy help Georgiana develop not only a sense of humor, but the ability to speak back/up, to laugh at herself, to be bolder. She's still shy, but ready to open up.
-INSTEAD, she's soon gets burned again by her peers: the women she befriends scheme against her. The men are dangerous. She's too aware of how Wickham stole her innocence and feels unworthy and unprepared, so she begs to go back home. But she's so mortified and feels so guilty that she ends up running away, taking a maid with her.
-she's gone two of months: Georgiana has her pin money to keep her and her maid housed and fed, but a man once again tricks her with declarations of love, after realizing she's rich; this time it works because he doesn't know her identity and so she believes he must be sincere. Instead, he runs with the money. They didn't sleep together, but by now she feels ruined beyond repair. She goes home, so broken by the experience that she actually needs a doctor, can't even leave her bed for a while.
-two more seasons pass with her not really engaging with society, and her reputation says she doesn't want to be married yet (true: at this point she completely gave up on the idea, she feels ruined, worthless and unable to shine). She seems cold and, to someone paying attention, looks inconsolably sad, especially when chaperoned by her aunt Lady Catherine, who never forgave her for those' hysterics'. If family asks, she claims that she wants to marry for love.
-the older she's growing, the more she feels at ease going to balls and walks, especially when her brother and sister in law are there. She believes they are the best people in the world, even if ultimately she thinks she's not worth of her brother's love because she blames herself for the men who took advantage of her. She still has suitors due to her money and appearance.
-she will 'settle' for a marriage that seems safe and comfortable, however she believes in honesty and the ability to make an informed choice, and so she would confess being 'ruined' to a man who wants to marry her.
-Some day, she would like to kiss a man out of MUTUAL love or passion, it's not 'as if she can get more ruined'. She still tends to be trusting/gullible in spite of all the trauma she went through.
-if she feels the other person is safe enough to trust by now, she'll reveal her loving, warm, kind attitude. At times she can blurt out truths the way Elizabeth does and can argue like her brother. If you write a Darcy or an Elizabeth, you can have them react the way you want, including questioning her or, in Darcy's case, even pushing her to be married or, alternatively, for him to be comfortable letting her make her own choices now she seems to have wised up. I will adapt.
-most of the ladies I write are either optimistic, happy, self-loving or both, and some have scandalous pasts and don't care about them: I wanted to write one who is affected by all of it, BUT I still 100% want to ship (if a ship works). Obviously, as always, I'm open to friendships too, she NEEDS them, but I want to make clear that even if she says she's not interested in being courted and her inner thoughts are hopeless, she can become interested if feelings are involved.
