Canon divergences / my portrayal

She's tvshow-centered, but with some influence from the books: Kate watched her mother die at a young age, it was HORRID and she's not only traumatized, but plagued by nightmares and terrified of storms. That and she also didn't expect to live this long. She can also be a little more awkward/fumble if close to a man she's into. Her idea of flirting is, after all, challenging the man.  

note: her dialogue will not be accurate on account of the fact that I'm not English, I would never think of half of the words she uses.

-because I'm not limited by a tvshow's budget, Kate and Anthony will be around after season 2 even if they did visit India.
-I am MORE than open, in fact I welcome it, to rewrite her romance with Anthony rpers. For example, no engagement to Edwina, she insults him outside of the ballroom and he focuses on her. Or much like in their book they are caught in a compromising position almost right away because he's trying to keep her from dying over a bee sting. Not reaching the wedding day with Edwina. Maybe they try out one of the other couples' clichés like pretending to be together or marriage of convenience. Not reaching the wedding day with Edwina. Or if they are engaged, she slips up and expresses her feelings earlier on, maybe she tells Edwina and he overhears or something similar - canon tvshow Kate was too repressed for it, but if you add the vulnerability she has in her book, maybe her being triggered and more emotional, we can write something fun there too! 

-I am open to Benedicts as well for the reasons stated above in the wanted interactions! That man is hilarious. But if we keep it platonic, I fully believe they'll get along as friends splendidly and she'll take Sophie's side 99% of the time just because. 

-once married with Anthony, Kate feels more at ease around the family, but let's be real, she loved all the Bridgertons from day one and enjoys being a 'big sister' for them too. At the same time, being married to Anthony means having the chance to be -temporarily- free from being an older sister who takes care of everything, so she may want to enjoy some games and fun as well. 

-with strangers, she's kind but guarded. We know she can be a bit of an ass too and I don't want to take it away from her, I loved it. So she needs to be warmed up to the idea of befriending new people. 

-Either she's visiting Edwina and guiding her, or she's already married to Anthony, it will be random unless you have a request.
