Neighborhood Projects

Update May 2018:

The Southside Neighbors Advocacy Group supports the Neighborhood Conservation Overlay (NCO) District Proposal for the Heart of Southside neighborhood areas of College Park, Oakwood, and Dulaney.

SNAG was a happy to help area neighbors hold the NCO community meeting in December, however this specific project is not directly associated with the organization. SNAG will continue to offer support for this proposal, as well as help distribute communications if necessary, however, future updates on the proposal will continue to be sent directly to homeowners in the specific area being considered via the mail.

Update: Thank you to everyone who has submitted feedback regarding the proposal. The committee is considering several adjustments to the proposal and discussing those adjustments with City Staff prior to moving forward. As of the end of January, a final proposal has not been decided on and there has not been an NCO application submitted to the City of College Station. Please check back for more updates as they become available.

A come and go informational community meeting was hosted by the Neighborhood Conservation Committee on Monday, December 4th at St. Thomas Episcopal Church Parish Hall. Research on Neighborhood Conservation Overlay Districts was provided and homeowners shared their feedback on a proposal to implement an NCO District on some streets within the Heart of Southside.
