The Tredegar Arms was closed in February 2021 when Gareth & Julie's long term lease expired. It was then put on the market. An informal group tried to put together a community purchase but backed down when advised it was sold to a local individual who intended that the TA would remain as a public house and that it would reopen as soon as a tenant was found.
