Developer Proposal for City Purchase

In October of 2023, as a response to the community opposition to filling in Lake Conrad 2, the developer brought three different scenarios to the city's Open Space Acquisision Committee. Those scenarios were rejected primarily due to the committee's preferance for dealing directly with the actual land owner and not a speculator.  Here is the link to the presentation obtained by FOIA on Jan 30, 2024.  In Feb 2024, the community was provided an opportunity to make their own presentation to the Committee, who were provided with a handout with all the infrastructure that already exists on this site coupled with all of the benefits that fit every single criteria for a OSAC recommended purchase. The community was again told that they want to deal directly with the property owner, who has never made a presentation or inquiry. All 3 scenarios are pictured below. There was never a reply to the question about the cost for the third option.
