On May 1, 2024, the City Commission passed Resolution 3732 formally rescinding the previous resolution that placed Quaker Park on the list of surplus property so ownership could be transferred to the Land Bank for development. We did it! All in all, over 800 signatures were collected and the county clerk was instructed to stop counting at 591 when we had well surpassed the 462 necessary for the petition to be successful. For full history of how this came to be, we've archived the previous version of this website on the "How We Saved the Park" page of this site.
We are working on improvements to the park! While we anticipate that this process will take a long time, we have begun planning sessions on how to best improve the park and ensure that it will be a great resource for the community for generations.
We want your input and ideas! Our vision is to listen to your thoughts, whittle them down to the best and most practical and develop a few versions of how the park could be redesigned. Please, take a moment to fill out the form below and share your thoughts!
