Save My Tabs ("we", "our", or "the extension") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your data. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, how it's stored, and under what circumstances data may be shared.
Save My Tabs is a Chrome extension that helps users save, organize, and manage open browser tabs by using Chrome's native bookmarks system. We are built with a privacy-first approach and follow Google’s best practices for Chrome extensions.
We store the following information locally using Chrome’s storage APIs:
Extension settings (e.g., folder names, UI preferences)
Saved tabs (stored as bookmarks in your Chrome profile)
Whether you are using free, trial, or Pro mode
This data is accessible only to your browser and remains within your local Chrome profile or Chrome Sync, if enabled.
If you choose to start a trial or upgrade to Pro, we use ExtensionPay to handle:
Your subscription status (free, trial, or paid)
Payment history and plan type
Email address (if provided during checkout via Stripe)
All payment and subscription data is handled securely by ExtensionPay and Stripe. Save My Tabs does not store or process any payment information or personally identifiable data directly.
Save My Tabs does not collect or transmit:
Your browsing history
The content of your tabs
The URLs you visit (unless saved by you as bookmarks)
Your IP address, geolocation, or device data
Personally identifiable information (unless provided to ExtensionPay)
Save My Tabs does not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
The only external services involved are:
ExtensionPay: to manage subscriptions, trials, and upgrades. Privacy Policy
Stripe: used by ExtensionPay for secure payment processing. Stripe Privacy Policy
These services may collect minimal data (e.g., email, subscription details) to manage billing and provide you with access to Pro features. Save My Tabs does not access or control that data directly.
Your local data (e.g., saved tabs and settings) is stored securely in your browser via chrome.storage and chrome.bookmarks.
Subscription data is verified securely via ExtensionPay's API.
We do not use analytics, tracking scripts, or remote logging.
You have full control over your data:
You can edit or delete saved bookmarks anytime through Chrome’s built-in bookmark manager.
You can uninstall the extension to remove stored preferences.
You may cancel your subscription directly through ExtensionPay at any time.
To remove all local data, you can also clear extension data through Chrome settings.
This policy complies with:
Google Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies
User Data Privacy policies
Basic principles of GDPR and CCPA (though Save My Tabs does not collect PII directly)
