On December 11 members of the SBL campaign wrote to their local MP Rushanara Ali. On 26 January she replied with a letter from Steve Reed, Secretary of State.

On Wednesday 22 October 2025, during the morning session it was announced that the decision has been recovered by the Secretary of State. The letter from the Planning Inspectorate is here.
On the last day of the Inquiry the Planning Inspector indicated that he would deliver his report to the Secretary of State in early January. The report was formally accepted on 20 May: the SoS has up to twelve weeks to issue his decision.
