Understanding Our Options

The SAVE Task Force has reviewed a wide range of potential revenue and cost-saving strategies used by municipalities across Massachusetts. Not all options solve the same problem or operate on the same timeline.

Some strategies provide immediate, sustainable funding, others help reduce costs or recover fees, and many are long-term efforts that take years to generate meaningful revenue.

The table below shows which options are already in place, which are actively being reviewed, and which are long-term or limited in impact — so residents can see the full picture.
