It is called Candelabra Cactus because of its shape that resembles a candle holder; it is found in dry zones of the Galapagos from sea level to 100m of altitude. The candelabra cactus has spines on its lower stem for protection; the flowers will develop to fruit in the of same colors green or red. Goats were a big threat for the Candelabra cactus when they walk around the National Park, but they were eradicated.
