Growing Up

I was born in Miami, Florida but raised deep in the heart of North Georgia. Since my parent's separation, I spent my school year in Georgia but would visit my father in Miami for the summer. 

I have always loved to read and write. The first few things I wrote were a children's chapter book and a comic-book strip of my grandmother's cat. That was only in elementary school. In middle school, I found my love for writing growing. Falling in love with one of the biggest boy bands of my generation, I began to write fanfiction. Although it makes me embarrassed looking back, I am glad my younger self did it. I wouldn't have learned what it takes to write an actual story with a plot, a climax, and a story that evolves beyond my knowledge.  In high school, I fell in love with my husband and dropped fanfiction, writing actual novels that were my creation. My worlds and the characters that I made up. 

My Personal Life

I met my husband when I was a sophomore in high school. Six years later, when I turned twenty-one, we decided to get married. We spontaneously stopped to look at rings one afternoon. We had always talked about marriage and our future, so I knew it was something we wanted. He didn't have to ask. Due to covid, we decided to have a small wedding with close family and friends on Halloween. We were devastated, but the wedding was something out of this world. Two years later, we welcomed a baby girl on Friday the thirteenth. 

When I’m Not Writing…

When I'm not writing, I am usually at home. I am a homebody and generally hate going out in public unless it is with my husband. Frequently throughout the week, you will find my daughter and me at Ingels. We shop or browse while drinking Starbucks. Since she is too small for Starbucks, I usually give her the whipped cream off the top; so she doesn't feel left out.
