Limpopo offers an extremely pleasant climate for most of the year. With almost all year-round sunshine, it can get rather hot in the summer months (October to March) averaging between 27ºC to 32ºC.

It is a sunny season of chilly mornings, warm midday’s, dry afternoons and cool to cold nights. Average time expectancies’ in winter are sunrise at 07:10 and sun set at 05:45 and in summer the sun rises at 05:15 and sets at 18:15.

In general the weather of Limpopo will greet you with a hospitable display of sunshine and reserve and at Savannah Safari’s we have fully air-conditioned vehicles & facilities. 

South Africa's currency is the Rand. Major credit cards are widely accepted. Many ATM's are available throughout South Africa where you can make cash withdrawals with your debit or credit card.

Currency can also be exchanged at the International Airport or at the Foreign Exchange Bureau in the town of Musina. Due to poor telephone connections in our area, we do not currently provide credit card facilities at our camp. We will gladly accompany you to Musina where you can make cash withdrawals. 

The attire is casual. We recommend khaki and green colours and to avoid wearing strong or bright coloured outfits that are easily visible to animals during your hunting trip.

There are a wide range of safari and sporting shops in the area where you can buy additional clothing and gear ahould you wish to do so as follows:

• Jeans;

• Khaki pants;

• Shorts;

• Summer shirts;

• Bathing suits;

• Polo shirts or T-shirts;

• Walking shoes;

• Sandals;

• Hiking boots;

• Hats;

• Sweaters for those occasional cooler days or nights 

Remember to Bring:

• Cameras;

• Binoculars;

• Sun tan lotion;

• Sunglasses;

• Flash lights
