I believe in living life to the fullest by embracing every adventure that comes my way. From skydiving in Pennsylvania to bungee jumping in Nepal, each adventure has been exhilarating and unforgettable.

Landing in New York with family waiting for me made the transition smoother than I had anticipated. I then moved to Georgia for my master's program, where the warmth of the UGA Nepali community and my advisor's support made me feel right at home. Despite the initial cultural shocks, like the casual greetings and the rarity of vegetarian options, I quickly found my footing.
My initial impressions of the USA were of a country that never sleeps, with bustling cities lit up all night. I imagined skyscrapers everywhere but soon realized this was true only for major cities.
I remember trying to go to the UGA health center by myself, using Google Maps and the transit system. Hilariously, after an hour on the university bus, I ended up right across the street from where I had started—an hour earlier—and found the health center!
Over the years, the love and respect I've received have made my life here smooth and memorable. Although I've adapted well, I often find myself missing the momo and mountains of Nepal. Sometimes, I even pretend clouds on the horizon are mountains just to bring a slice of home into my daily life.
To anyone from Nepal considering a similar journey, remember: Love and respect those around you, and it will return to you. Embracing this attitude has opened many doors and made my adventure in the USA joyous.
