Dr. Saurabh Kumar is an assistant professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Madan Mohan Malviya University of Technology. He was awarded his doctorate in Civil Engineering from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad, Prayagraj, in 2021. He was awarded his Masters's degree in Geotechnical Engineering from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad in 2013. His bachelor's degree was in civil engineering from the Hindustan College of Science and Technology in 2010.

Before joining Madan Mohan Malviya University of Technology, he was associated with Lingaya's Vidyapeeth University, Faridabad (2024–2025), NIMS University, Jaipur (2022–2024), and the SGI Education Group, Prayagraj (2020-2022). Additionally, he has over three years of industrial experience in road-over-bridge (ROB) construction. With a combined experience of more than seven years in academia and industry, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his field.

Dr. Kumar also has extensive experience in fieldwork, projects, and consultancy. His expertise lies in soil resistivity, soil profiling, rock-cut slopes, and the health monitoring of hills. He has published over 17 research papers in national and international journals and conferences. Additionally, he has gained international exposure through field studies and was awarded an MHRD fellowship for five years.
