Dr. Saurabh Kumar is an assistant professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, NIET, NIMS University. He was awarded his doctorate in Civil Engineering from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad, Prayagraj, in 2021. He was awarded his Masters's degree in Geotechnical Engineering from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad in 2013. His bechlor's was completed in civil engineering from the Hindustan College of Science and Technology in 2010.

Prior to joining NIMS University, He was working with the SGI education group in Prayagraj (2013-2015) and (2020-2022). He has Industrial experience in road-over-bridge (ROB) construction. He has over five years of experience in Academics and Industry.

In addition, Dr. Kumar has exposure to field and consultancy projects. He specializes in the Geological and Geotechnical Study of Rock Cut Slopes and health monitoring of hills. He published over 12 research publications in national and international journals and conference papers. He has been awarded an MHRD fellowship for five years.
