Satyajit Panigrahy is currently an Assistant Professor (On Contract) in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the International Institute of Information Technology, Bhubaneswar (IIIT Bhubaneswar), India. He has submitted his Ph.D. thesis in High-Voltage research at the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, where his work focuses on developing advanced techniques for condition monitoring and degradation assessment of outdoor insulators used in transmission lines. Satyajit holds an M.Tech. in Power System Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur, India, and a B.Tech. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Vignan Institute of Technology and Management in Berhampur, India. His research interests lie at the intersection of advanced deep learning techniques and computer vision, as well as the analysis of electrical and physicochemical properties. He focuses on condition monitoring of high-voltage electrical grid assets. His contributions to the field include filed patents, numerous research articles, book chapters, and presentations at various conferences. Additionally, he actively serves as a peer reviewer for several esteemed international journals, including those published by IEEE, Elsevier, Springer, Wiley, Taylor & Francis, among others.
