After earning my Ph.D. in Science from the University of Tokyo in 2020, I have been conducting research on synoptic-scale transient eddy activity (mobile cyclones and anticyclones) and midlatitude atmosphere–ocean interactions. These works are directly relevant to understanding the mechanisms behind day-to-day weather variability and extreme weather events, profoundly impacting our lives.

Since December 2024, I have been an Associate Professor at the University of Tsukuba, where I advance research on climate dynamics and transient eddy activity in past, present, and future climates.

I am driven to conduct research that provides crucial, science-based insights for predicting the risks of weather-related disasters. My ultimate goal is to apply this knowledge to build a more resilient society, ensuring the safety of people's lives and livelihoods and creating a more secure, sustainable future for all.
