CUB SCOUT APPLICATION

• Completed online

  • Sato (Lions Club) Application  

• ANNUAL COSTS - All costs can be offset by fall fundraiser (a scout is thrifty)

  • ~$140/yr Annual National Dues - required when filling out above application. Includes optional $15 Scouts Life Monthly Magazine - one per family

    • Renewed yearly on join date anniversary. If you need financial assistance -  DO NOT re-register through my.scouting.org. Instead, reach out to CPCBSA 30 days BEFORE you expire by filling out the form found [here](https://zfrmz.com/iDclXs42cuTnRig5QEyB).  This must be done on an individual basis.

  • $80-$120/yr Pack Operation Dues -  Due in Dec after main fundraiser

  • ~$350 Optional Summer Camp - 3x night w/ need based scholarships available

  • ~$45 Uniform (one time) - free Uniform Bank available for folks needing assistance 

  • $25 Donation - requested each Feb for Camp-for-all so money is never issues 

  • $Misc - Some event entrance fees are not covered by pack dues. 

ADULT LEADERS - required on adult leaders

• • Sato (Lions Club) Application  

  • $85/yr fee that covers enhanced background check and insurance

  • You will create a https://my.scouting.org/  account - make sure to save your username/Pwd/MemberID for future.

  • YPT - Adult Training Video Course - takes 75min

    • Required for all Leaders - Recommended for all Adults

AFTER JOINING

1. Scoutbook.com will send you an invite email after application is processed - Reuse my.Scouting name/pwd to login.  

2. A leader will add you to: sato-boy-scouts@googlegroups.com - we use a google group for pack communication

3. WhatsApp is used for conversations - but is not required. All critical information is over GoogleGroupEmail & Scoutbook event reminder notices

4. Purchase uniform (or uniform bank)

   • For 1st/2nd/3rd grade

   • For 4th/5th Grade 

5. Add Scoutbook calendar 

   • Outlook - Click on link Pack 926 iCal URL

   • Google - Follow instructions w/ this URL https://www.scoutbook.com/ics/106845.DB7A8.ics 

6. Signup for weekly counsel newsletter - there is a lot more fun beyond our pack

8. Trail to Bobcat - All Scouts begin with: The Trail to Bobcat

NEW MEMBERSHIP COORDINATOR  - will do the following once scout application submitted

1. Verify email/cell# for both parent(s)  - chase down corrections - 

   • encourage joining WhatsApp - but not required

   • Mark down scout as "joined" in the private recruiting database

2. Google - Create contacts and add to google group

   • Verify they are getting google group msgs (and not going to SPAM)

3. Review w/ them - 2022_Cub-Scout-Pack-Familiy-Welcome-Packet

4. Review email Template - 1) Email header links  2) how often are emails sent 

5. Scout Book

   • Verify parents have signed into scoutbook & 

   • Calendar

     1. Verify they are getting scout book calendar notices

     2. RSVP please (Tracks attendance)

   • Den assignment - under roster/scout/membership

   • Verify parents linked in connection manager
