About your teacher

Hello, and welcome! My name is Lynette M. Cornog. I have been teaching and tutoring for 15+ years in the USA, Europe, the Middle East and online. I have a Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Second Language along with two Bachelors of Arts. I am a licensed teacher in the United Arab Emirates holding my UAE TLS, in addition to my degrees being attested and equalized. 

I have taught American, British, IB, and MOE UAE curricula. I have supported English language learners in Basic Foundational English, Academic English in writing essays and research papers, and Business English in business etiquette, sales negotiations, and giving meeting presentations. I have prepared adult learners for job interviews, cover letter and resume writing. I have rekindled teenagers' love of reading, as well as supported young learners advance their English language skills to achieve awards for the most improved student, increase their lexicon of sight words through playing games. 

My teaching philosophy encompasses Multiple Intelligences theory, Content Based Instruction, the Natural Approach, Positive Affirmations, and Storytelling. I aspire to create an easy-going, friendly, fun classroom where the focus of learning is on sharing the love of life and languages.
