Scholarships and grants received

Received the Danish National Research Foundation Centre for Privacy Studies' bursary of 1,000 euros (INR 111,000 approx.) to present a paper in a conference on “Privacy and Slavery, Past and Present: Academic and Artistic Perspectives on an Urgent Issue", to be held at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, from October 21 to 23, 2026.

Organised exhibition on “The story worth telling: Unforgettable journey of Indian indentured labourers to South Africa (1860-1911) – A visual narrative” in collaboration with the Consulate General of India, Durban, South Africa (funding agency); the Gandhi Luthuli Documentation Centre, University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa; and the Local Self-Government Department (LSGD), Government of Kerala, at Maharaja’s College, Eranakulam, from September 11 to 14, 2025.

Got selected for the "Tamil Nadu Council of Historical Research grant 2025-26" by the Tamil Nadu Council of Historical Research, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, commencing from 09 January 2026. tamilnaduarchives.tn.gov.in/result.pdf 

Received University Grant Commission (UGC) NF-OBC (National Fellowship for Other Backwards Class Students) JRF and SRF from the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, in the academic year 2014-2015 (amount received: INR 1188500 to pursue PhD research).

Received a PG merit scholarship to pursue an M.A. (History) course at Pondicherry Central University, Puducherry, in the academic year 2010-2012 (amount received: INR 10,000-INR 2,500 per semester).
