Introduction to Immersive Media
Introduction to Immersive Media
The realm of technology continues to change daily for the well being of humanity. Advanced automation and the creative minds of people around the world created the division of immersive media. Both art and tech meet each other to create endless possibilities of design and innovation. Immersive media is a fairly new sector of both art and technology. The term “immersive design” was first coined by Alex McDowell in 2007 as a design disciple that worked with story-based media alongside digital and virtual technologies.
Immersive media cover the two fields that are widely known to the public: Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR). Along with that immersive media includes mixed media and a new technology called “Multimmersion.” Artists have full control over how they want to express their art through “immersive media.” Artists with all kinds of backgrounds in technology, art, and even non-traditional career paths such as history are all taking on the role of producing immersive media.
Artists are projecting their ideas through different social media platforms to get the public aware about the hereafter of immersive media. Many artists face difficulties coming up with completely original ideas, learning how to use the XR equipment, and being able to showcase their art to the public. However, immersive media is leading paths to product development and marketing, enhancing product-consumer interaction, and is allowing people to experience real-world scenarios in a controlled environment. Immersive media is breaking barriers in technology as it is strengthening the relationship between consumers and producers. The future is within the hands of immersive design— Code, Create, and Collaborate.
The Martian Word for World is Mother
The artist's intention was to develop a futuristic world in which humans can potentially survive. Humans will be speaking another language, clean air will be sent to Earth, and advancer concepts will be put into place.
The artist's idea was to show the creativity of the human mind in regards to social interaction. The art is supposed to represent a person's mind after being trapped in their house.
The artist's idea was to depict the life of a human and that people must destroy old habits so the habits don't destroy the person. Eventually humans will disintegrate into pieces, but the artist wants people to save their body as much as they can.
