Welcome to my website!

I am a development economist with a specialized focus on addressing developmental challenges in rural India. My research primarily centers around critical issues including labour market changes, agriculture and rural development, poverty and inequality. As a receipent of the World Bank Robert S. McNamara Fellowship,  I was a visiting scholar at the Vrije University Amsterdam in 2019-20.

I received my PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi in 2023. In some of my recent work, I try to understand the factors that influence the rural labour market changes across Indian States in the last few decades by using both secondary and primary data. I have conducted a field survey in Alabujanahalli, a village located in the Mandya district of southern Karnataka in 2018-19 to get a deeper understanding of the rural labour markets.
