SKILLS & ABILITIES
My research interests lie at the interface of synthetic organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, process development, and chemical biology, with a strong focus on the design and synthesis of bioactive molecules, complex glycoconjugates, and novel catalytic methodologies.
Synthetic Organic Chemistry: Design, synthesis and efficient reaction setup, purification, complete characterization and structural elucidation and crystallization techniques.
Organometallics: Glove box, air and moisture sensitive Schlenk line techniques on milligram scale with highly reactive organometallics. Experienced in multi-step synthesis and preparation of intermediates on milligram to multigram (1 KG scale).Improved the overall product yield and purity of intermediates and drugs through reaction optimization.Developed hands-on experience in microwave-assisted reactions.
Biology/Bioconjugation: ELISA, SPR, BCA assay for protein concentration determination. Plate Reader, Antibody internalization assay. Conjugation of various chelators to proteins (BSA, HSA), monoclonal antibodies and their purification, analysis by Nanodrop.
Spectroscopy: Hands on experience with Biotage, HRMS, GC, GC-MS, LC-MS, MALDI-TOF, UV/VIS, FTICR, ¹H NMR, ¹³C NMR, ¹⁹F NMR, ³¹P NMR, 2D NMR Mass, Fluorescence, Phosphorescence, cyclic voltammetry, elemental analysis and TEM studies. Analysis and purification of bioconjugates using Size Exclusion Chromatography.
