Go to Settings → Reset All Progress. This clears all word progress but keeps your session preferences.
Words take a minimum of 3 days to reappear after being studied. This is intentional — it forces real retention instead of cramming. New unseen words will always appear in your sessions.
Complete a daily session every day to keep your streak alive. The flame turns orange when you've done today's session. Missing a day resets your streak to zero.
A word is mastered after you mark it Known 3 times across different sessions. Mastered words are permanently removed from rotation.
Daily sessions count toward your streak and are limited to 30 words by default. Custom sessions let you choose how many words to study, don't affect your streak, and are great for extra practice. If you mark words Unknown in a custom session, you'll be asked to review them before starting your next custom session.
After finishing a custom session, any words you marked Unknown are saved. The next time you open the custom session picker, a "Not Ready? Review Previous Session" button will appear showing how many words are waiting. You'll need to complete at least one review before starting a new custom session. After that first review, you can re-review as many times as you like or start fresh — it's your choice.
The leaderboard shows how many words you and other users have marked this week. It resets every Sunday at midnight Pacific time. Sign in with Apple in Settings → Account to participate. You can use your real name or a randomly generated nickname — you can change this anytime in Settings.
Go to Settings → Account and sign in with Apple. Once signed in, your progress, streak, and session history sync automatically across all your devices. You can see when your data last synced at the bottom of the Account section. Syncing also happens automatically whenever you close Settings.
After completing a daily session, any words you marked Unknown are saved for a focused review. The button disappears once you complete that review. Reviewing doesn't affect your streak or leaderboard score.
Yes. Signing in is completely optional and only needed for leaderboard participation and cross-device sync. If you don't sign in, all your progress stays on your device and everything else works normally.
