Sasya AI ("the app", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the app handles and how. In short: we do not run any servers of our own, and we do not collect or store your personal data.
Information we collect
Sasya AI does not collect, store, or share any personal data on our own servers. We do not have user accounts, and we do not track you.
How the app works
Photos you scan — Images you take or select are sent directly to a third-party AI service for disease analysis. We do not store these images, and they do not pass through any server owned by us.
API key — The API key you enter is stored only on your own device using Android's local storage (SharedPreferences). It is never transmitted to us and never leaves your device except to authenticate your requests with the AI service.
Scan history — Your past scans are saved only on your device. We have no access to them. Uninstalling the app removes this history.
Location — Your device location is accessed only to fetch local weather conditions for the crop disease risk widget. Your coordinates are sent directly to Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com), an open-source weather service. Location is never stored by us, never shared with any party other than Open-Meteo, and is only accessed when the weather widget is active.
Third-party services
To analyze your crop and plant photos, the app sends images to OpenRouter (openrouter.ai), which routes the request to an AI model. When you scan a plant, your image is processed by these services. Please review the OpenRouter Privacy Policy at https://openrouter.ai/privacy to understand how they handle data.
The app also uses:
Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com) — Weather data. Your approximate location is sent to fetch current weather conditions. Open-Meteo is an open-source, non-commercial service. See their terms at https://open-meteo.com/en/terms
data.gov.in — Agmarknet mandi price data. Only a crop name and state name are sent; no personal data is transmitted. This is a Government of India open data service.
We do not control and are not responsible for the data practices of these third-party services.
Permissions the app uses
Camera — to photograph crops and plants for analysis
Photos — to select an existing image for analysis, the app uses the Android system photo picker, which lets you choose a single photo without granting access to your whole photo library
Internet — to send images to the AI service and return a diagnosis, and to fetch weather and market price data
Location (optional) — to show local weather conditions and crop disease risk near your farm; only used when the weather widget is visible; never stored or shared by us
The app requests these permissions only to provide its core functions. It does not access your contacts, messages, call logs, or any other data.
Data security
Images and requests are transmitted over secure, encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Because we do not store your data, there is no personal data held by us that could be exposed.
Children's privacy
This app is not directed at children under the age of 18 and does not knowingly collect any information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
