Under The Notaries Public Act of Saskatchewan specify a notary public can:
• Administer oaths
• Receive affirmations
• Receive declarations
• Certify and attest true copies of documents
• Issue deeds and contracts, charter-parties and other mercantile documents
• Attest to commercial instruments
Examples of what a Notary Public can do are:
• Sign passport/travel documents
• Certify copies of birth certificates
• Certify documents regarding homesteads
• Witness signatures (Power of Attorney, and Wills)
