Sasha Ussef (b. 1990, Los Angeles, CA - Based between Beirut, Lebanon and Los Angeles, CA) is a cultural producer and researcher who has worked in curatorial, programming, production, and organizing capacities. She is currently the Associate Director at the University Art Galleries at the University of California, Irvine.
She received a Masters in Urban Planning with an emphasis in Transportation and Infrastructure Planning and an MA in Art and Curatorial Practices in the Public Sphere from the University of Southern California in 2015, where she researched a series of spatial art projects in Lebanon. She has taken on curatorial and programming positions at the Sursock Museum in Beirut and the Vincent Price Art Museum in Los Angeles, plus other non profit spaces in Lebanon. She also collaborates directly with artists on their productions. Currently, she is interested in writing and research around the notions of play, trauma, and power.
