Statistics and Applications Research Unit (SARU) is part of Faculty of Science, Prince of Songkla University, established in June 2020. Our research focuses on theoretical statistics and its applications with the emphasis on regression analysis, statistical inference, and operations research. Conducting these three different research majors not only can create the body of fundamental statistics knowledge, but the theories synthesized from the research themselves can truly establish the knowledge base for any other fields. Objectives of Our Research Unit

The objectives of SARU are to

1. conduct research and develop statistical knowledge and its applications with the emphasis on knowledge exchange between researchers inside and outside research units/centers,

2. develop highly knowledgeable personnel in statistics to effectively supervise graduate students,

3. create a good research atmosphere to foster new researchers and graduate students, and

4. provide statistical consulting to other research units/centers.
