Bio-sketch

I am doing my Ph.D. under the supervision of Professor Vasant A. Matsagar and Professor Dipti Ranjan Sahoo in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. I have started working for my doctoral research in September, 2020. The key highlights of my research are given here.

I stayed in Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture, Japan from April to October 2023, where I was conducting research in the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Toyohashi University of Technology (TUT) Japan, under the combined supervision of Professor Taiki Saito and Professor Vasant A. Matsagar. I am grateful to Suzuki Foundation, Japan for giving me this rare opportunity through their Fellowship Program. I had a wonderful time in Japan; getting to indulge in its rich culture and visiting some beautiful (and historical) places across the country. 

My undergraduate and postgraduate studies are from the Department of Civil Engineering at Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIESTS) Shibpur under the Dual Degree (B.Tech.-M.Tech.) Programme. I lived some of the best days of my life in Shibpur (Howrah), from July, 2015 to June, 2020. I completed my Master's Thesis, "Optimal design of nonlinear tuned mass dampers for base-excited structures", under the guidance of Professor Aparna (Dey) Ghosh. 

My higher secondary study is from Hem Sheela Model School (HSMS) Durgapur. I lived in Durgapur (West Bengal) from April, 2013 to May, 2015. In my higher secondary education, I indulged in learning subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science and English. This helped me build a strong foundation for my research-oriented career ahead.

My secondary level education is from St. Patrick's Higher Secondary School (SPS) Asansol. I was born and brought up in Asansol (West Bengal). I lived the first 16 years of my life in Asansol. The life lessons endowed on me in my childhood days, both from my school and from my family, are always valuable no matter what I do in life.
