Prof. Ralf Roehlsberger visited Beamline P03 to honor Prof. Ajay Gupta (my PhD supervisor) by awarding him the IBAME Fellow status in recognition of his exceptional contributions to Mossbauer spectroscopy. Prof. Gupta was visiting P03 to conduct GISAXS/GIWAXS measurements.

Successfully conducted SAXS/ WAXS/GISAXS@DESY satellite meeting organized by P03, P08, P62 beamlines and FS- SMA group at DESY as a part of DESY User meeting and witnessed high number of registrations and participations. Workshop covered 17 invited talks and highlighted the application of SAXS/ WAXS/ GISAXS in various disciplines of science and technology. Also highlighted vision plans of P03 for the PETRA IV.

Today, I had the privilege of welcoming and engaging with Prof. Dr. Michael Otto, a prominent German businessman, who serves as the Honorary Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Otto Group and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Michael Otto Foundation.
Prof. Otto was joined by our director, Prof. Dr. Beate Heinemann. They expressed great admiration for the research activities taking place at my beamline P03.

Dr. Praveen Kumar, the Head of the International Division at the Department of Science and Technology (DST) in India, along with his team, visited DESY Hamburg, Germany. They were warmly welcomed by Prof. Dr. Beate Heinemann, Chairperson of the DESY Board of Directors, and Prof. Dr. Britta Redlich, the Director responsible for Photon Science. This visit facilitated a productive discussion aimed at enhancing the collaboration between India and DESY.

(IGSYP-2024), held on December 18, 2024, Indo-German Summit for Young Professionals (IGSYP-2024), held on December 18, 2024, at the University of Cologne.
The summit also witnessed the founding of the “Association for Promotion of Indo-European Science and Technology Alliances” (ASPIRE e. V.). This society will serve as a cornerstone for strengthening and promoting Indo-European collaboration in science and technology.
