Saraswati Music Academy is rooted in a proud legacy of classical music carried forward through generations. Our story began with a great ancestor — a revered musician who performed across India during royal dynasties. This divine gift of music became the soul of our family.
This tradition took form when Smt. Saraswati founded the academy in Visakhapatnam with a vision to share music not as a business, but as a service to society and an offering to Goddess Saraswati. Her dedication laid the foundation for a school where every student is treated like family and every lesson is taught with devotion.
Over the decades, the academy has guided thousands of students, many of whom now share their music across the world. Today, their heirs continue this journey — blending timeless tradition with heartfelt teaching, carrying forward a legacy built on values, humility, and love for music.
This sacred torch was carried forward by Pantula Sharada, daughter of the founder. Born into the rhythms and melodies of the academy, she wove her life into its artistry and its teaching traditions. Alongside her, other sons, daughters, and grandchildren of the family also share a deep interest in music, reflecting how this art has remained the heartbeat of the entire lineage. Under her stewardship, the academy blossomed — students emerged as performers of distinction, winning laurels, gracing prestigious stages, and upholding the academy’s name with pride
In the present day, the torch shines brightly in the hands of the next generation. inspired by the same values and driven by a vision to broaden the academy’s reach, has taken an active role as a teacher, vocalist, and mentor. His fresh ideas, creative compositions, and modern approach blend seamlessly with the academy’s traditional roots, opening new opportunities for students to learn, perform, and shine.
Together, they continue to teach, perform, and inspire — honoured on many stages, celebrated through their students’ achievements, and cherished by those who trust them with their musical journey. For them, the truest reward lies in witnessing the spark in a learner’s eyes, hearing those first confident notes, and knowing that the music will live on for generations.
