Take a weekly or monthly pass depending on the length of your stay (there is also an annual pass for 365 euros). The public transport in Vienna works extremely well. You can buy tickets at the stations, but I recommend getting the app https://www.wienerlinien.at/wienmobil
For longer stays there is an annual pass for 365 euros, or even, the Klimaticket, that allows you to use all public transport in Austria.
