I'm a Biologist with the U. S. Geological Survey based in Juneau, Alaska. I am interested in processes that shape nearshore communities. I currently work with data from the Gulf Watch Alaska long-term monitoring program. I completed my PhD at the University of Alaska Fairbanks where I studied the effects of glacial melt on kelp communities, then I did a postdoc on the effects of kelp forests on seawater chemistry at Cal State Northridge.
