For the Spring 2024 semester, I worked on Team Puppamatics. We partnered with West Liberty University, to create a tool that helps young students visualize the puppet-making process. We focus on teaching 4th-5th graders how to build a marionette puppet while introducing them to 3-dimensional geometry.
The project is designed to run at a 2-3 hour workshop in West Liberty's maker space. Children will be placed in groups of 2-3 and given a chrome book. First, they will design the puppet using the software, then print out templates and assemble the puppet following the tutorials provided.
Throughout this project, I worked with one other programmer to implement various features and UI, as well as with the whole team to design and test our tool.
