My research passions involve old mountain ranges.  Some of the greatest stories lie within the cores of these ancient systems and understanding their history is what drives me.   I've heard petrologists refer to undeformed rocks as being "happy", but I truly believe that when a rock undergoes deformation and metamorphism, it experiences enlightening change that is beyond comprehension.
