As a teacher I strive to challenge students to think critically and communicate effectively, and provide students with technical skills useful for solving practical problems. I hope the critical thinking, communication, and technical skills developed through my courses will benefit students as they pursue careers related to agricultural, development, and environmental economics.
I've taught the following undergraduate courses at different times and institutions:
Environment and development
Contemporary issues in global food and agriculture
Microeconomics
Economic development
At the graduate level I've taught the following courses:
Food, poverty, trade, and development

Mentoring students is an important part of my job, and something I love to do. My CV includes a list of current and former mentees I'm very proud of.
