One of the most interesting professional learning experiences I have had this year has been examining my HBDI profile. It is a powerful psychometric assessment that defines and describes the degree to which we think in the four quadrants of the Whole Brain® Model.
The data helps me to adapt my thinking preferences to communicate effectively, improve decision making and problem solving. It also makes me aware of my teams similarities and differences; particularly their strengths, as well as what happens to them and myself under pressure. Using this information, I can make adjustments to ensure I can effectively contribute to my team, greatly improving processes, outputs and outcomes.
The bolder traits show my preferences / strengths in each quadrant. It means I need to be aware and work on the less prominent traits and learn techniques for working optimally—for a better relationships, better performance and better results.
