What is the PTO?
Parent Teacher Organization is a nonprofit group comprised of parents, teachers, and staff dedicated to improving the educational experience of students at SHME. Our goals are to encourage interaction between family and school, serve as a source of support, and work with teachers, staff, and the community at large to improve our children’s educational experience.
Why join the PTO?
Being a member gives you a voice! Your membership entitles you to vote at all meetings on PTO business (one vote per household). And you become part of the solution by helping make positive changes in the school.
Your child benefits when you get connected to the school. Studies show children get better grades, do better on tests, and have fewer discipline problems when parents are involved.
