Privacy Policy for Spatial Audio PDF Reader

Spatial Audio PDF Reader is designed to let people explore PDF document layout
through HRTF spatial narration and on-device document analysis.
Information collection
Spatial Audio PDF Reader does not collect, sell, share, or transmit personal
information, browsing history, analytics, advertising identifiers, or PDF
contents to the developer or to an application server.
PDF files selected by the user are opened and processed locally in the Chrome
extension. Text extraction, page-layout detection, audio positioning,
translation when supported by Chrome, and image analysis run in the user's
browser or on the user's device.
Model downloads
On first use, the extension downloads voice and vision model files from
Hugging Face infrastructure. These files are program data required for local
processing and are cached by Chrome when possible. The extension does not send
the user's PDF, extracted document text, image crops, narration text, or
translation text with those model-download requests.
As with any normal internet request, the model host may receive technical
connection information such as an IP address and browser request headers under
its own privacy policy.
Permissions
The extension requests access only to the Hugging Face domains needed to
download its local voice and vision model data. It does not request permission
to read browsing history, read other websites, access tabs, access the
clipboard, access the camera or microphone, or download the user's PDFs.
Data retention and security
The developer does not receive or retain user data. Chrome may retain model
files in its local browser cache. Users can remove the extension and clear
Chrome site or extension data to remove locally cached data.
Children
The extension is a general accessibility tool and does not knowingly collect
personal information from children or adults.
Changes
If the extension's data practices change, this policy and the Chrome Web Store
privacy disclosures will be updated before the changed version is published.
