Hello! I'm a Research Scientist at Sandisk!
I recently completed my PhD in Operations Research (OR) in the Industrial Enterprise and Systems Engineering department at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
My dissertation focuses on developing computational methods to advance mechanism designs that guide societal systems toward optimal efficiency. I examine how individuals and institutions strategically interact within complex social systems as they evolve in our contemporary technological landscape. My goal is to ensure fairness, efficiency, and strategy-proofness as participating entities utilize emerging technological capabilities.
My work integrates rigorous computational modeling with practical case studies, yielding policy insights. Methodologically, I use optimization, ML/RL, game theory, and AI agentic tools toward data-driven decision-making.
My recent interests also include democratic (and fair) governance using AI, as well as AI's impact on employment and, subsequently, trade and economic inequality.
Beyond theoretical advancements, I try hard to emphasize practical relevance through rigorous case studies that produce actionable policy insights. I enjoy collaborating with fellow researchers and would welcome any opportunity to discuss research topics of mutual interest.
My preliminary thesis version is available now. Here's my CV (last updated- Oct 22, 2024).
