PRAISES
God continues to bless IBCA with visitors as well as spiritual growth amongst the members. 2 deacons have started a 1-year Bible program at our local seminary to grow and be better prepared to serve our church (the 3rd is the one Dave is finishing training to be a pastor)!
The schedule and logistics details for our next missions team are all in place, PTL!!
Dave again had the privilege of translating the Gospel for a battalion of military police!

that God will speak TO and THROUGH the team arriving May 28, that VBS will be well attended and that WE will be healthy, energized and ready to serve and challenge them!
for the (now FIVE) teen guys (!!) that want to keep meeting with and learning from Dave.
for Renato and his family's salvation. We think they may already have received Christ but they need to make it public. They've been coming since December and are more faithful than many members!

It's official!!! . . .
MK "EPIC RETREAT II" is on our November calendar, AND we already have a speaker scheduled to come down!! If you'd like to invest in an MK, this is a FANTASTIC way to do so!!
Nathan, our son-in-law, is LOVING his new job!!
We are now up to 50 . . . yes, FIFTY books we've sent to "Manager Priscilla" to distribute at the hotel we stayed at. It's absolutely AMAZING!! Many of the workers have reached out to thank us and we've been able to share more of God's Word with some of them!!

for God to move in our favor next week in the court hearing we have to try and free IBCA from an unfair tax bill.
for 2 more teen guys Dave spent a day with to challenge on Biblical manhood.
for our prep and scheduling to host our next group and run a VBS at the end of May.

We joined BMM in 1984, after God made His will and call for our lives unmistakably clear. After finishing college and raising support we moved to the 3rd largest city in the world, referred to as a "mini-continent" because at 26 million, it's population is larger than 3/4 of the worl'd's countries! It's the mega-metropolis of São Paulo, Brazil; extremely urban with the unique challenges this type of city presents to ministry.
We've been privileged to revitalize and expand a youth camp, plant 4 churches and help revitalize one more, as well as host over 1600 "short-termers" on mission trips, sent from dozens of US churches.
We have entered a new phase of ministry where we are shepherding Brazilian pastors and their wives both formally and informally, as well as training new pastors and lay leaders. We also have the honor of shepherding our BMM Brazil colleagues, training new missionaries as they start pre-field ministry, and participating in BMM's Global ministry through vision casting, strategic planning, and even ongoing professional development for our missionaries around the world!
