PRAISES
God used curiosity about different short-term teams we've taken to a restaurant to stir Geovana's heart towards visiting our church after we gave her a book. This past Sunday she and her husband, Felipe, WENT AND LOVED IT!!
We celebrated our FORTY-FOURTH year of LIFE TOGETHER!!!
Dave's 2nd meeting with the teen guys on "The Biblical definition of a REAL MAN" went SUPER well.
Our men's group organized and hosted their first-ever multi-church men's gathering!
PLEASE PRAY
for Geovana and Felipe's salvation.
for our flight to the U.S. tomorrow in order to bless, encourage and strengthen the new BMM missionary candidates; visit supporting churches; meet with DOZENS of friends new and old; and much more.
for Christian as he takes care of the retreat center and writes up his own doctrinal statement so that he can be ordained at the end of this year, after we wrap up his pastoral studies via zoom calls!

Vini showed up at the restaurant where Dave was teaching the teen guys on Sunday. He recognized Dave and said, "You boys listen to him; he knows what he's talking about!" YEARS AGO, our teen son led Vini to the Lord at a VBS when he was just 6 years old . . . Today, he's a solid Christian husband and dad! . . .and we could tell you of MANY MORE!
Is VBS worth all the work?? ABSOLUTELY YES!!!

PRAISES
God provided us with the help and energy we needed to host the Connecticut team well. We dropped them off at the airport last night after they shared and their pastor preached at a church that's on the way!
The team did an amazing job at our VBS and we had over 75 different children attend and hear the Gospel.
the Lord provided for us to purchase a large, industrial refrigerator for the retreat center!
PLEASE PRAY
as we prepare for our annual trip to the US. The adjustments, logistics, travels, and many different ministries etc., can feel overwhelming if we let them. We want to be "all there", but we also want to be "all here"! 8 months in Brazil and 4 months in the US is challenging and at times, frustrating.
for Dave's next meeting on real manhood with the teen boys.
for Marcelo and Elines as they navigate challenging waters in their new marriage, find the right ministries to join, and Marcelo finishes up seminary.

A BIT ABOUT US
We joined BMM in 1984, after God made His will and call for our lives unmistakably clear. After finishing college and raising support, we moved to the 3rd largest city in the world - referred to as a "mini-continent" - because at 26 million, it's population is larger than 3/4 of the world's countries! It's the mega-metropolis of São Paulo, Brazil; extremely urban with the many unique challenges and danger this type of city presents to ministry.
We've been privileged to revitalize and expand a youth camp, plant 4 churches and help revitalize one more, as well as host over 1800 "short-termers" on mission trips, sent from dozens of US churches.
We have entered a new phase of ministry where we are shepherding Brazilian pastors and their wives both formally and informally, as well as training new pastors and lay leaders. We also have the honor of shepherding our BMM Brazil colleagues, training new missionaries as they start pre-field ministry, and participating in BMM's Global ministry through vision casting, strategic planning, and even ongoing professional development for our missionaries around the world!
Our motto for our current mnistries is "Find yourself a Timothy, place him on your shoulders. and help him see further than you ever could."
