We're thankful for great meetings over the last couple of weeks. We're actually in a missions conference RIGHT NOW and have an all-day meeting at another church on Monday.
There are LOTS of unique opportunities to be a blessing. Want to be part of one?
Every year we buy a couple of books to give away to pastors at their annual conference. This time we want to give them to the pastors’ wives instead. So we're looking at 120 or so books.
We support a Brazilian missionary whose family is reaching an Indian tribe in north Brazil along with a big children’s ministry. They have almost all they need to finally buy a car. We’ve helped them and challenged others to as well. They’re a litte short and any amount would be an encouragement, a HUGE help and a blessing.
It's time to repaint the retreat center pool with the special pool epoxy paint.
There’s a Venezuelan refugee family that joined our church and they’re AWESOME. We’ve been able to bless them quite a bit, but a longer term amazing blessing would be to help them put their younger daughter into a Christian school because she’s getting bullied a lot, for being a Christian AND for being a Venezuelan.

for an atheist friend of Dave's who asked him to pray for him! They met yesterday.
for Octavia. In an IMPOSSIBLE "BUT GOD" moment, we were able to give her a book and pray with her at a gas station.

Jan had a good trip to visit her momma (who is almost 87).
Dave had the immense honor and privilege to be one of the speakers at Alpine Baptist Church's 100th anniversary! This is our sending church and it continues to be a HUGE blessing in our lives and ministry.
We've received some more funding for our second MK retreat.
IBCA (our last church plant's "nickname") is now 22!! Last weekend they baptized SIX and had a wonderful celebration. We wish SO MUCH we could have been there!

A BIT ABOUT US
We joined BMM in 1984, after God made His will and call for our lives unmistakably clear. After finishing college and raising support, we moved to the 3rd largest city in the world - referred to as a "mini-continent" - because at 26 million, it's population is larger than 3/4 of the world's countries! It's the mega-metropolis of São Paulo, Brazil; extremely urban with the many unique challenges and danger this type of city presents to ministry.
We've been privileged to revitalize and expand a youth camp, plant 4 churches and help revitalize one more, as well as host over 1800 "short-termers" on mission trips, sent from dozens of US churches.
We have entered a new phase of ministry where we are shepherding Brazilian pastors and their wives both formally and informally, as well as training new pastors and lay leaders. We also have the honor of shepherding our BMM Brazil colleagues, training new missionaries as they start pre-field ministry, and participating in BMM's Global ministry through vision casting, strategic planning, and even ongoing professional development for our missionaries around the world!
Our motto for our current mnistries is "Find yourself a Timothy, place him on your shoulders. and help him see further than you ever could."
