PRAISES
The Pastors' conference was excellent and BIG! We actually gave away FOUR different books to over 100 pastors!! There were around 250 total participants.
Valentina came through her surgery well and is almost fully recovered already!
DUDA GAVE HER LIFE TO CHRIST!! This past Sunday her whole family was in church! We gave her a bilingual NT and a book too.
PLEASE PRAY
for the restart of Dave's pastor cohorts this week after "vacation January" (which Brazil is known for). Nearly all the pastors took most of the month off.
for wisdom as Dave plans to start 2-3 more pastor cohorts in a couple of different areas of our huge city.
for Jan as she plans our first trip to visit and encourage our BMMB colleagues, celebrate the 80th anniversary of one of our seminaries, and attend our annual Brazil conference.
SIX of us from IBCA were at the conference. Only Pastor Alex had been to one with us before.

We praise the Lord that our Brazilian churches are workng hard to honor the Lord and reach the lost! What a privilege to be a small part of His work here!

PRAISES
The missions team from Taylor U was a fantastic group. They had great attitudes and we were able to serve and lead them well!
The Lord blessed our VBS days with 80 kids and SIX SALVATION DECISIONS!!!
Through God's people praying, little Helena's lungs miraculously cleared up OVERNIGHT! The doctor didn't know what to say!
PLEASE PRAY
for us to FINALLY finish getting organized after returning from the US in October. We've had too many good "extra ministries" the last 3 months to be able to focus on that 'til now.
that we'll be a blessing to many if not ALL of the pastors and wives at the conference we're heading to on Sunday. We have THREE books to give away this year and hopefully there will be 80-100 pastors present!
for MANY we've been able to witness to, give books to, and show Jesus' love to. We can't write all their names here. But pray ESPECIALLY for the salvation of Duda, Renato, Daiane and Rean who've had a lot of exposure to the Gospel over the last few weeks.
for 7-year-old Valentina who is having toncil, adenoid and nose surgery tomorrow, as well as Afonso who is having his first of two kidney stone removal surgeries.

A BIT ABOUT US
We joined BMM in 1984, after God made His will and call for our lives unmistakably clear. After finishing college and raising support we moved to the 3rd largest city in the world, referred to as a "mini-continent" because at 26 million, it's population is larger than 3/4 of the worl'd's countries! It's the mega-metropolis of São Paulo, Brazil; extremely urban with the unique challenges this type of city presents to ministry.
We've been privileged to revitalize and expand a youth camp, plant 4 churches and help revitalize one more, as well as host over 1600 "short-termers" on mission trips, sent from dozens of US churches.
We have entered a new phase of ministry where we are shepherding Brazilian pastors and their wives both formally and informally, as well as training new pastors and lay leaders. We also have the honor of shepherding our BMM Brazil colleagues, training new missionaries as they start pre-field ministry, and participating in BMM's Global ministry through vision casting, strategic planning, and even ongoing professional development for our missionaries around the world!
