NH SEDIMENT AND STATISTIC (NHSS) is a computational tool developed for engineers, sedimentologists and other professionals involved in projects related to sediment transport in water resources.

NHSS is a Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) tool which allows the user to perform hydrossedimentological and statistical calculations.

MAIN CONTENTS

The computational tool is divided in hydrossedimentological and statistic modules.

Hydrosedimentological Module:

Suspended load;
Bed load by Meyer-Peter and Muller (1948) method;
Total solid discharge by simplified method of Colby (1957).

Statistic Module:

Kolmogorov-Smirnov normalitty test;
Variance tests (parametric);
Mean tests (parametric);
Median test (non-parametric);
Comparative statistical parameters.

Supported Operating System:

Windows 7 (or more);

Recommended Hardware Configuration:

64-bit (x64) processor;
4 GB Memory (or more);

Software Requirements

Microsoft Office 2010 (or recent), 64-bit.
Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications 7.1

Important: The 32-bit version of the computational tool is in development. Therefore, it is recommended to install the 64-bit version of Microsoft Office to avoid compatibility problems.

Unzip the package;
Copy NHSS.xlsm to place of interest;
Access Readme.txt;
Open the application.
