Bio
Short Bio
I was born in 1990 in Castellammare di Stabia (Italy). In 2013 I obtained a BSc in Mathematics and in 2017 I obtained a MSc in Mathematics at the University of Naples Federico II. In 2022 I obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Applied and Computational Mathematics at the University of Edinburgh under the supervision of Dr. John Pearson. I am currently postdoctoral fellow at Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa.

Current research
I am interested in devising preconditioners for the Optimal Control of Time-Dependent PDEs with higher order discretization schemes in time. In particular, I devised optimal preconditioner for Heat Control and non-stationary Convection-Diffusion Control employing a Crank-Nicolson discretization in time. I have also applied this strategy to the control of non-stationary Stokes and Navier-Stokes equations. I also devised preconditioners for the control of the stationary Stokes and Navier-Stokes equations as well as time-dependent fractional differential equations. I am currently interested in devising preconditioners that can be applied to the Navier-Stokes control with additional algebraic constraints on the state/control variables, and preconditioners for more complex problems arising from Fluid Dynamics.
